Goodbye Sister Rozsa! You will be Missed!!!

So since moving to Virginia, there have been things that i have experienced that i hadn't before. I listed a few of them and among those that I listed was that Sister Missionaries ROCK! And mostly the reason i think that is because of the awesome sister missionaries in our ward! Sister Hansen and Sister Rozsa! Unfortunately Sister Rozsa is getting transferred tomorrow and will be off to spread the gospel in another area! :( It's a very sad day because she has been in our area for 10 months!! Longer then my family has lived here! So anyways, she is so awesome and i want to be JUST like her when i grow up! Here are pictures!

I love them So much!!!! So sad Sister Rozsa is leaving!!! :(

{Sunday Mormon Message: Choose this Day}

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week. I get to go to church and be spiritually uplifted, partake of the sacrament, and reflect on how I can do better in the coming week. Something else i love are Mormon Messages, so i decided to combine the two.... genius! So... new segment in the blogging life of Jacqueline Bauer! Here's your weekly "Sunday Mormon Message".

{Things I've learned in Virginia}

So, since "moving" to Virginia I have learned a few things. Some about the area, some about others, some about myself. But, I decided I wanted to share them with you because as we all know... I have nothing better to do with my time.

1.) People from the DC area do not call it "Washington DC" or even "DC" its simply "Washington" or "The District"

2.) In Idaho, they call Boise "The City of Trees" but that's a bunch of hooey because there are no trees comparatively speaking Virginia to there!

3.) It's really hard to make friends when everyone my age is still at college...

4.) Missionaries (Sisters) make great friends.... until you realize that they are obligated to be nice to you. (It's in their job description.)

5.) No but really... Sister missionaries rock!

6.) I've thought about serving a mission.

7.) No matter where you are... the world is small enough that you can ALWAYS find connections! (Especially when you go to BYUI)

8.) I'm blessed to be physically and mentally able... (For the most part...) ;)

9.) I miss Rexburg, but I'm extremely grateful for all of the blessings coming my way!

10.) When you have no life... its really easy to get hooked on new TV series.... bad idea.

The Way It Is.

Life for me has taken a turn in this past week! I left my beloved town of Rexburg Idaho and ventured out to the East Coast. Namely Bristow Va. It's a weird thing to come "home" to a place where my only friends consist of the sister missionaries, and my sister's best friend Kylie... yes. I am that cool. I really shouldn't be complaining. I mean, how ma people can say that they got to live on the east coast for a summer... Ok a lot of people. But that's not the point. The point is, it's going to be a really cool experience and I suppose i will take advantage of the whole... "no friends" thing and spend some time with the fam! Here are a few plans for this summer..... be jealous! or don't. :)

- Go to New York and see everything!
- Go to a Broadway play!
- Eat at Cafe Rio every Tuesday (Tacos for only a dollar!)
- Visit VA Beach and learn to surf with my long lost cousins!
- Go to D.C. (Whenever I want because I live 30 minutes away!)
- Have some visitors from Idaho see our glamorous lives here in Virginia
- Find a job and make BANK
- Get fit!

Now you can all live vicariously through me. Just kidding! :) And for any of my Rexburg friends reading this... I miss you all!!!! And to all my roommates... I MISS YOU EVEN MORE!!!

Festival of Colors!

So, last Wednesday at about 1:00 in the morning, i made the split second decision to go with my two roommates Courtnie and Ali to the Festival of Colors. It's a Hindu Celebration of Spring that happens every year in Spanish Fork, Utah! (To learn more click here!) The trip started out a little crazy... but once on track, we had nothing but fun! It was a great end to an awesome semester! Next on the list of To-Do's is watch general conference, followed by survive finals week, clean, then go to my home away from home... good ol' Bristow, Virginia. Although I am incredibly excited to go home and see mia familia... I am also sad to be leaving Rexburg. I love it here! I'm never bored and I love the friends i have here. Unfortunately, money is kind of a staple in the life of a college student.... So, I'm off to the East Coast to make as much moola as I can! I plan on sitting on the street in D.C. and playing my guitar hoping to get some dimes thrown my way. Ok, that's a lie. I hope to get a paid internship with a Montessori School helping with their summer programs. So off to another adventure!

Here are some pictures I took while at the festival. Except I didn't the first one.... but it's too sweet not to post! So I did! :)
